Red Yoshi is a red alternate coloration of Yoshi first appearing in Super Mario World. He wears dark blue boots.

Super Mario World

In this game, he was able to spit fireballs when they ate a Koopa Troopa. Other than that, he's exactly the same as Yoshi.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

Red Yoshi is playable in the seventh level of each world. Pink Yoshi looks a lot like him in this game but this was later changed.

Yoshi's Story

Red Yoshi returns in Yoshi's Story as a playable character. He now has blue shoes, which is the current design. His favorite fruit is Apples just like Pink Yoshi.

Mario Party

While he isn't in the original game, Red Yoshi's in Yoshi's Tropical Island in Mario Party Superstars, which has boards from the original game.

He's exactly the same as in Super Mario World 2, except he keeps his blue shoes from Yoshi's Story.

Mario Tennis Open

Red Yoshi is an unlockable character in Mario Tennis Open. He can be unlocked via a QR code. His skill is Technique, much like Pink Yoshi, Peach, Daisy and Luma.

Yoshi's Woolly World

This Yoshi is the only non-original Yoshi who is never unraveled by Kamek as he takes cover with the lead Yoshi in a different file. He's playable, too. In addition to this, there are some other varieties of Red Yoshi such as Bunson the Yoshi and Apple Yoshi. They share the same transformation egg color as the regular red Yoshi himself.

Yoshi's Crafted World

Red Yoshi is one of the 8 playable characters of this game. In the single player mode, if Yoshi is chosen to be playable and he retrieves a Dream Gem, he will hand it down to Red Yoshi who then attaches it to the Sundream Stone. If he goes with Yoshi in a 2-player mode and they do the same, they hand it down to Blue Yoshi the similar way.

Super Mario Maker 2

Red Yoshi also appears in the Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros. U styles of Super Mario Maker 2. In this game, it can be found in a big red Yoshi Egg, which can be acquired by holding a normal Yoshi egg until a pop-up menu appears and selecting the Super Mushroom, or by simply dragging Mushroom onto it. When a player goes near one during gameplay, the egg will hatch and a fully-grown Red Yoshi will come out. The Red Yoshi can spit out a single fireball, or three when the player is equipped with a fire flower. Other than this, they behave the same way as a normal Yoshi, being able to walk on spiked objects in all styles and ground pound and flutter jump in the New Super Mario Bros. U style. If a level a big red Yoshi's Egg is in changes to the Super Mario Bros. or Super Mario Bros. 3 style, it will change to a big Shoe Goomba and vice versa.
